Consciousness in the Tao quantum realm
To contemplate consciousness in the field of quantum physics is foundamentally a question of: Are we made in the image of God or Are we made in the image of nature?
From the ancient Chinese perspective, we were made in the image of nature. This was a philosophical science, whereas God was not part of the equation. Individually, was seen as 'In Divine Duality' whereas our image found expression within the universe while maintaining our own individual field. In the ancient classics a concept know as Heaven, Earth and Man describes consciousness as follows: Heaven shines through to influence Earth, whereas the consciousness of Man is able to interact simultaneously between these two states. This represents the purpose of life itself, which is to experience our own divine duality in the physical form while bringing our Heaven consciousness into this realm of existence. That is to say, we held a state of consciousness prior to being born into this life time.
In modern terms this phenomenon could be viewed as living in a simulation, whereas our consciousness can be in two places at the same time.
To contrast this ancient perspective with our modern worldview, which has its foundations in Christianity, it is suggested that the universe is 'in' God, and that God is present in all things. Therefore we are interwoven with God and the universe as an all-in-one inseparable entity.
The subject of consciousness has become popular as an alternative to religious digma as people seek new ways to express their spirituality However, this raises the question, have we dismantled old core beliefs in the process or is this simply an upgrade to finding our inner God consciousness. After all, one could argue, is this not a continuation of the same God model that states we are inseparable from the universe?
Therefore, is this conscious debate more about understanding cultural beliefs as to how we perceive reality.
